DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP MURALS
I designed and painted these murals on the exterior surfaces of three insulated steam vents in 2018, for the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore and Veolia. These vents were installed on various sidewalks in Downtown Baltimore, Maryland to allow heated subsurface water to vent out above the pedestrian walkways throughout the city.
These three designs show three different environments with a surface-level scene (ground, sky, and space elements) as well as a sub-surface scene that depicts what is going on below the surface. Each steam vent has its own element of subsurface water and heat, as well as other features unique to each environment.
