MARRIOTT HOTEL MURAL

I designed and painted this mural for the Marriott Hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon in 2018. The design features a forested environment of the Pacific Northwest as well as the Columbia River Gorge.

This design dives into the details of what makes up the forests of the Columbia River Gorge by showing native flora and fauna, western red cedar trees, rhododendrons, mosses, and a shallow cutaway of the forest floor that reveals ground-dwelling animals and elements of the past — skeletons, shells, and artifacts.
