LOVE YOUR TRAILS MURAL

I designed and painted this ground mural in Denver, Colorado for Adams County's "Love Your Trails" project in 2022. Murals selected for this project were initiated to bring more attention to natural spaces maintained by Adams County - specifically along the Clear Creek bicycle and pedestrian path.

This mural design depicts a lively microenvironment that focuses on the earth beneath our feet. Roots and mycelium intermingle with the soil, water, and microfauna. Magnified areas reveal smaller and smaller details about some of the inner workings of this small habitat. Small details often give us a bigger picture understanding of the complexity in nature and the balance that is achieved when a healthy ecosystem does its thing. These visual elements interact in a way that is meant to be intriguing, playful, stylistically simplified, and educational.
